First Blog Post

I used to blog about just everyday stuff, even did some reviews and giveaways. Well, I'm here again. This time, I'll write and post pictures about dolls. Hopefully, I can connect to other bloggers as well who have the same interest.

I actually loved crafting and making my hands busy longer than I can remember. When I had a baby (now not so baby anymore), I did a lot of kids crafts, cooking and home pre-schooling. Over three years ago, I started to learn how to sew.  though I still "fight" with my sewing machine at times and I am not a professional seamstress, I am hooked to sewing. But fabric and some sewing gadgets are not cheap. One day I just thought about making clothes for my daughter's doll and that's when all it started. It gave me a reason to continue with my sewing/ crafting hobby and making money on the side. I have been a stay at home mom for over 5 years and now, I consider selling on Ebay as my full time job. I always wanted to have a business too so it just coincides with what I am already doing. I just opened an Etsy store, and I am excited about it. I still use the simplest patterns, the easiest dresses I can make.

I have a lot of dolls, my favorite are American Girls and Disney Animators. I only have two AG dolls. I have all of Disney Animators main characters. I even have two of some of them. They are so cute, although the demand for their clothes is not as much as for the American Girl. The price is not bad either compared to AG. I think the Best Friends Club doll are very pretty too and they are jointed so you can pose them so well. My daughter loves Monster High, Barbie and Ever After High but the smaller the doll, the harder it is to make their clothes in my opinion. Baby Alive dolls is also a hit in my house so I make cute baby doll clothes too. It feels like I am a fashion designer at times. I make a lot of my own patterns (I'm so frugal) using the doll as my template.

This is my first blog posts, hopefully there will be more soon. I'll try to update this blog as often as I can. If anybody read this, thanks for reading and I hope you're having a great time.

  1. Isn't it nice to be able to do something you love! I too am not a seamstress, but with the price of American Girl doll clothes, I have been teaching must how to sew. Looking forward to more posts!
